Understanding Palliative Care

The terms palliative and end of life care are often used interchangeably. In this course, you will learn how to approach the transition of a person from general care to end of life care. How carers handle this progression is vital to the wellbeing and dignity of the patient. Using student focused learning techniques, you will about the palliative care process, how to introduce a person to end of life care and how to approach and guide the process with patient welfare as the fundamental priority. This course is a supplementary aid and should complement other training that you have previously undertaken.
